Why my post related to "你穿過幾多次線呀" ? your point is right . each player have their own requirement. And each requirement is related to player play style and racquet itself. So when you restring your racquet, how can you communicate with your stringer ? For the good stringer, is it necessary they should be good on tennis as well ? They may not be professional, but their skill should meet certain level. Otherwise, they may have difficulty to understand the customer needs. And my question on this post is "how you defined your racquet is string good or not" ? I still don't get your idea from your reply.
Tony, Thanks for your detail reply. But I am so sorry that I can't type chinese now. I can only reply in english. If there is any problem for you to read it . Please let me know. I will reply in chinese later. I am so happy to see that someone will reply the message so seriously and detail. Your answer is someting that I am expecting. Racquet & string is very important to a tennis player. Although a good player can use any racquet to play , but results may not show 100% of his ability. So with a good combination of racquet + string + player style, it will able to help player to perform his full ability. But based on my observation, the key point is communication between player & stringer. If you want to get a good results, player need to clearly express what is the feeling when he play with different string combination. I will say it is not easy to find a suitable string and tension for yourself. you may need to go through numerious test to find a good combination. And also, there is some external factor which will affect the results e.g. temperiture , huminity etc. In HK, there is many so call "pro shop", they are trying to sell their knowledge to attract customer. But how many of them are willing to spend time to study it or communicate with customer ? So how can we define which one is real pro shop ? Now, I can see that more & more people will string the racquet by themselves. I think it is good when they have knowledge on it. Player full understand his own needs and then finetune his string setting easily. Of course, people must take tennis serious and willing to pay for the string machine. It is just my own comment.
PS. Tony, where do you come from ? I see that you posted different serious messages in this forum. I think your skill should be good. Hope to have chance to meet you in future.
