Guys, I have just tested the lighter version Pure Storm GT. I love it! Despite its low static weight (295g unstrung), it is as stable as the tour. More important, I like the increased manuverability and room for customization. I could lead up the 3 & 9 o'clock positions without the racket being too sluggish. I think I am gonna stick playing with it for the time being.
ok, Radical, I have two doubts.
A) will the racquet face be pushed by heavy shots? especially when vollying or late hitting.
B) Is the ball heavy enough as PST GT? I really love the heavy ball what PST GT made, quite heavy.
Yes, it may not be as stable as PST. This was particular a problem when I rallied heavy balls sent by Rafter this Monday. Anyway, I like its room for customization. For heaviness, I have no chance to compare but I guess heaviness come from the amount of spin. With PS I could hit with more spin (easier to generate racket head speed), so it can also hit heavy shots.
To me, Radical Pro is better at baseline and everything except it maybe a bit too powerful. You know I am not a powerful hitter. Also, serving is an very important part of my game, especially for developing confidence. I would like to have a racket with lower swingweight for serving.
